Partners

Research institutions, commercial partners, and the Stakeholder Advisory Board

This is a coordinated project by design. Research institutions, commercial hatcheries and growers, and Sea Grant programs on all three coasts are part of the work rather than recipients of it.

Research institutions

Institution Role
University of Washington Lead institution; modeling, data integration, PRISM Portal, economics and decision tools
Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) / ABC Atlantic hatchery operations, extension lead, mechanisms of environmental memory
Texas A&M / CMAQ Gulf-coast research, low-salinity resilience, high-throughput genotyping
USDA Agricultural Research Service / POGS Pacific-coast research, POMS/OsHV-1 resistance, POGS breeding families
NOAA Northwest Fisheries Science Center Predictive phenotyping, physiological assay development, Manchester facility
Oregon State University Metabolic profiling, thermal performance curves, hatchery-based research staff
Sea Grant (WA, TX, OR, and mid-Atlantic programs) Extension delivery, K–12 modules, producer engagement

Committed commercial partners

Hatcheries and growers on all three coasts have committed to hosting trials, providing grow-out sites, and co-producing protocols.

Stakeholder Advisory Board

A 12-member Stakeholder Advisory Board spanning the Atlantic, Gulf, and Pacific coasts is committed and has been seated. The SAB meets semi-annually and reviews project direction, protocol relevance, and extension products.

External evaluation

The Pacific Shellfish Institute (Bobbi Hudson) serves as external evaluator, conducting formative evaluations in Years 2 and 4 and a summative external evaluation in Year 5.
